Drawing on his extensive experience working with elite executive, athletic, and military teams, Dr. Auerbach’s talk equips team leaders with the insights and strategies needed to establish a team culture of high-performance and resiliency.

This talk provides information about the critical components of creating a high-performing culture, including why it is important for high performing teams to set values, achieve alignment, and cultivate psychological safety. Dr. Auerbach provides leaders with the tools to effectively address misalignment within their team culture, and foster more openness, vulnerability, creativity, and drive for optimal performance within their team. About Dr. Alex Auerbach

Dr. Alex Auerbach is a counseling and performance psychologist and is currently the Senior Director of Wellness and Development for the Toronto Raptors. He joined the Toronto Raptors after serving as the Director of Clinical and Sport Psychology for the University of Arizona. Dr. Auerbach is an expert in helping high-performing individuals achieve their goals, build resilience, and perform under pressure. Dr. Auerbach also provides consulting services to help sports and executive teams optimize their systems, support team wellness, and maximize performance potential.

Dr. Auerbach has worked as a performance coach with NCAA Division-I schools in the Pac-12, ACC, Big 12, and Conference USA, top athletes in the NBA, NFL, MLB, and the Olympics, as well as high performers in elite military units, Fortune 5 companies, and venture-backed startups. For nearly a decade, he has been dedicated to providing clinical care, performance consulting, and crisis intervention for professional and collegiate athletes, as well as coaches, medical staff, and sport administration. Dr. Auerbach earned his doctoral degree in counseling psychology with a specialization in sport and performance psychology from the University of North Texas. He received a Master’s in Business Administration from Salve Regina University and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.  

Not only is Dr. Auerbach a Certified Mental Performance Consultant and a Licensed Psychologist, but he is also a member of the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry. He has made several TV and podcast appearances to share his expertise on performance coaching and optimization, and has also published several scientific research articles and presented at notable international and national conferences. When he is not working with athletes and other high-performers, he enjoys hiking, surfing, playing with his dog and family, and other activities that keep both his mind and body ready to perform.
