Foundations of Mental Health and Wellbeing

Nicole Legg (MSc) provides a half-day workshop on the foundations of mental health and wellbeing. This engaging, participatory workshop helps attendees better understand their mental health and consider what they can start doing to improve their mental health. Through teaching, exercises, and active participation, this workshops equips attendees with knowledge about what mental health is, why it can change over time, how to discuss mental health in a way that is appropriate and inclusive, and actionable steps to start protecting and promoting their mental health. This talk provides audience members with the knowledge and tools to understand their own mental health, be sensitive to others’ mental health, increase their mental health and wellness intelligence.

Designing a Lifestyle for Optimal Brain Health and Performance

Cindy McDowell (MSc) provides a half-day workshop focusing on key lifestyle factors that impact brain health and performance. This engaging, participatory workshop helps attendees better understand the primary pillars of a healthy brain, critical lifestyle factors that can impact their brain health and longevity, and practical strategies to implement into daily life to optimize brain health and performance. Through teaching, exercises, and active participation, this workshops equips attendees with knowledge about why certain lifestyle factors hold a fundamental role in our brain functioning and how we can modify certain aspects of our lifestyle to optimize our brain’s functioning and performance.
